Massive Heaton Blow For Cardiff City
Cardiff city have been hit today by the news that on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper is ruled out for a month with a tear to his thigh muscle. Heaton joins fellow goalkeeper Peter Enckelman on the treatment table after the Finn underwent surgery last week.
With our two regular stoppers both injured, the loan capture of Dimi Konstantopoulos who already impressed with Swansea City becomes even more important. Should these two injuries have happened previously we would have been stuffed.
This injury is bad news for Heaton who had just regained his place in the side and enjoyed an impressive performance despite the 4-0 thumping from Arsenal - he now faces a frustrating spell on the sidelines before trying to re-force his way into the first time. Dimi will surely start on Sunday against Wolves with 19 year old Erwin Sak on the Blubirds bench.
