Dimi Denounces Jacks & Backs Cardiff City!

Cardiff City`s new goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos will have endeared himself to his new supporters after comparing his new club favourably to local rivals Swansea City where the Greek man also spent time on-loan this season.

The Jacks were impressed with Dimi and tried to sign him permanently from Coventry City, the move falling through on deadline day due to snow complications. Cardiff City then swooped to land Dimi as cover for the out-of-action Peter Enckelman. Dimi told the Western Mail:

"Cardiff have a much better chance of getting promoted this season than Swansea."

"Swansea are a good team, but you only have to look at the table to see the better position Cardiff are in at the moment. "

"I`m not sure what reaction I will get when the teams meet, but if I am playing I will be professional and do everything I can to make sure Cardiff take the three points."

Dimi is expected to fall behind Manchester United`s on-loan goalie Tom Heaton at first but Dave Jones was quick to drop Heaton earlier this season so Dimi is likely to get a chance. We now have two on-loan goalkeepers, both of which have hinted at the possibility of a permanent switch in the summer.

Second choice, of course he has to say good things to make sure the fans don't get on his back, wake up and smell the roses
