Award For Cardiff City Star Ledley
Cardiff City midfielder Joe Ledley has excelled in a central position following the dropping of Stephen McPhail recently. His partnership with Gavin Rae looks our most effective for a long time and co-incided with an impressive unbeaten spell for the Bluebirds.
As such, Ledley who was a transfer target for a host of Premiership clubs, was nominated for the Championship player of the month award for January having put in some fine performances and scoring in back-to-back games.
Ledley was yesterday awarded the accolade for best player and beat felloe Welshman Brian Stock (Doncaster Rovers), DJ Campbell (Blackpool) and Jason Scotland (Swansea City) to the title.
