New Arsenal Star Ineligible For Cardiff Clash

Arsenal splashed the cash in January to seal a dramatic transfer for Andrey Arshavin - Russian playmaker and dressmaker.

Arshavin is a creative forward with a superb reputation for unlocking defences and Gunners fans are hopeful he can provide a spark and help fill the void left by injury to Fabregas.

The Russian cost around £15m, and will surely prove a great asset in the Premiership once fit. However, Arshavin will NOT be eligible to play in our FA Cup 4th round replay against Arsenal since he was not an Arsenal player on the date of the first tie.

The same rule holds true for Chopra and Quincy for the Bluebirds but Arsenal fans hoping to see their new star player build up fitness against the Bluebirds will have to wait a little longer for their first glimpse.

Would have been good for both sides to get their new players some match time to get some fitness. Should still be a good tie, some good players will be on show for both sides.
