Ridsdale & Jones Continue 'Dream Team' Theme

Cardiff City chairman and manager Peter Ridsdale and Dave Jones are currently enjoying the adulation from fans and media alike after impressing during the January transfer window with the acquisition of three key players, whilst allowing none to leave. The two men have stuck very closely together during the past few seasons, and to be fair - neither has ever complained about the other. When we were flying, Ridsdale worked hard to keep West Brom away from DJ, whilst struggling - he publicly supported the manager. Dave Jones, for his part, has put up with a distinct lack of funds whilst watching the likes of Jerome, Chopra, Gunter and Ramsey sold from underneath him.

Whilst some have in the past complained that the manager and chairman are some kind of 'Laurel and Hardy` act, thick as thieves and keeping the truth about our situation away from fans - they have undoubtedly done a good job.

The theme seems set to continue with both men continuing to work side by side as Ridsdale told the SW Echo:

"There is no pressure on Dave to get the side promoted this season at all,"

"If we don`t go up there will no added pressure on Dave than there would be at the start of any season."

"Me and Dave are a team in every sense. We succeed or fail together."
