Wigan To Offer Cash Plus Koumas For Ledley

Wigan To Offer Cash Plus Koumas For Ledley

Wigan Athletic have stepped up their rusuit of Cardiff City midfielder and have made initial contact with the Bluebirds over a move. Steve Bruce is hoping to use former Cardiff City playmaker Jason Koumas as a makeweight in a Ledley deal but talks remain at an early stage.

The figure being banded around in the press is £4m plus Koumas. That represents a reasonable deal for Cardiff City but would fall short of the £8m price tag Ridsdale had been thought to set.

Would Koumas want to come? He makes regular appearances in the Premiership although is not a regular starter. I think Ledley would be happy with a move to Wigan Athletic - they are established in the Premiership and have some quality players.

Cardiff City are thought to have rejected the initial interest and told the Latics to increase their offer. No indication yet as to whether we see Koumas as a good bargaining tool but no doubt the fans would be happy.

this sounds lke a good deal to me especially if we are going to lose ledley eventally! we all know what koumas can do as we have seen it first hand but it remains to be seen if we couldmet his wage demands and if he would want to leave wigan anyways.
