Arsenal Fan's View On Cardiff City Clash

Sunday sees Arsenal visiting Ninian Park to take on Cardiff City in the FA Cup. We headed over to Vital Arsenal to get the views of a dedicated Gooner ahead of the game:

This season is not going brilliantly, is FA cup now more important?

More important than recent years most definately, infact Wenger's team choice for the 3rd round proved that. Being an Arsenal fan I've always had a real affinity with the FA Cup, I'd really like to see us go after it this year.

What sort of team do you think Wenger will field?

Pretty much full strength I would have thought. I'd like to see Ramsey take the pitch though, it'd be nice to see him get a good reception from the Cardiff fans (asuming you'd give him one?)

Would you agree with him?

Yeah why not. The Carling cup has been our breeding ground for the last few years, so it'd be good to push on and try and win some silverware!

How has Aaron Ramsey been doing for you?

He's done pretty well. He hasn't had a massive amount of play time, but he's gotten a goal in the Champions League and has shown some really nice touches. I'm looking forward to watching him develop.

What do you know about the Cardiff City squad?

I'm ashamed to say not much. I probably don't watch as much lower league stuff as I should. I guess that makes me a bit of a snob. I'll have to remedy that.

That said I'd read we were linked with Joe Ledley, I hear he's pretty handy!

Arsenal player to watch Sunday?

With any luck Eduardo and/or Andrei Arshavin.

Dudu is due back anytime now, I think a run out in the FA Cup would be ideal. Rumour has it that Arshavin will sign for us tomorrow, I dunno how true that is, but if he does he might just make his debut at your place.

Prediction for the game?

Ah man, I'm rubbish at making predictions. I'll go with a hard fought 1-0 Arsenal win.

Many thanks to Paul for his views. I'm sure Aaron Ramsey will get a good reception, hopefully he doesn't score a 30 yard screamer!
