Prem Clubs Line-Up For Cardiff City's Ledley

Cardiff City are bracing themselves for a number of firm offers for Wales ace Joe Ledley in January after a host of Premiership clubs have registered initial interest for the midfielder.

However, in contrast to other seasons, we do not appear to be actively inviting bids for our top players and City are preparing to offer a bumper new deal to Joe to keep him at the club. This could also be an attempt to tie him into a long term contract in order to achieve the best possible price for him in January.

Ledley accepts that his future is in the club's hands - and there can be no doubt he loves the club. Nevertheless, he is determined to play in the Premiership and how long can we realistically keep him as a Bluebird?

Stoke City tempted him with a £6m bid over the summer and may well return in January. Everton are known to be keen with David Moyes personally travelling to Burnley to watch Ledley. Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are also considering making a move.

Any move for Ledley to the Premiership would be a bid step for him while CCFC could potentially use the money to fund moves for on-loan pair Wayne Routledge (Aston Villa) and Michael Chopra (Sunderland).

i agree if joe wants to go the cash could be used to bring in both chopra and routledge who would both be quality signings and signings we need if we are going to fulfil our premiership ambitions. i would also like to put credit to peter ridsdale. many people have slated this man but i feel he has done wonders for this club in the last two seasons. even with our massive debt we have got the stadium on track and are able to turn down offers for players. i have to hand it to him he is doing a good job. lets hope he can sort summit out with langston b4 it goes to court as that could put the clubs future back in doubt.
