Routledge 'Really Happy' With Cardiff City Switch

Cardiff City's new recruit Wayne Routledge has spoken of his happiness at the loan switch from Aston Villa to the Bluebirds. The former Spurs winger has not played regularly for some time and jumped at the chance to play first team football.

Routledge told the SW Echo:

'Once the opportunity to join Cardiff City and play matches came along I jumped at it. Everybody wants to play and Cardiff are a club moving forward.'

'This is a great place to be for me. It's hard to get a rhythm going when I am not playing regularly and hopefully that's what I will get with Cardiff City.'

'Right now I am here to play football and see what happens. If it turns out I stay longer than that then fine. I am really happy to be here.'

Routledge was brough to the club as cover for injured pair Joe Ledley and Peter Whittingham. He goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's clash against Plymouth Argyle and is likely to start the game on the right side of midfield allowing Paul Parry to revert to his favoured position on the left.

I'm the same, but Parry should start - very rarely gets the chance in his 'best' position!

Dave wont drop McFailure. what he is seeing that others cant i......i dont know. i think one more game to try and turn things around and he should drop him for Blake. Either Miguel or Parry to start they both liven the game up when they are subbed on
