No Bench-Warming For Jay Bothroyd !

Cardiff City fans are sick of hearing about injury worries and difficulties so the news that both Jay Bothroyd and Ross McCormack are nearing first team returns will be a bonus - adding to the ranks after the return of Michael Chopra on loan and the steady improvement of Eddie Johnson.

Bothroyd confesses himself happy with the signing of Chopra but shot a warning to his new team-mate that he will not be prepared to make way and will be going all out to reclaim his place! Speaking on his icons official website, Bothroyd said:

'Personally, I welcome the competition. It keeps you on your toes to be fighting for places in the team. Chops is a good player.'

'As far as possible partnerships go between myself, Chops and Ross McCormack - I don`t care who plays as long as I am playing! We´ll have to see what happens. I just want to play.'

'The only time I´m ever upset is if I am not playing!'

Bothroyd has looked good since a £300k move from Wolves, he is the one from our three frontline strikers who offers something genuinely different and barring an unlikely change of formation from Jones - it seems likely that Chopra/McCormack will compete, as will Johnson and Bothroyd.
