Cardiff City Rocked By Ledley Injury Blow

Cardiff City's already beleaguered squad has been hit by another sucker punch with the news that key midfielder Joe Ledley has been ruled out by the finger injury sustained on Saturday.

Ledley entered a challenge on the touchline in front of the bob-bank, there was little contact but Joe was in obvious agony and Matt Lawrence immediately called on the physio. After a few minutes, Dave Jones was informed that a substitution would be needed only for the dislocated finger to be 'popped' back in - Ledley actually scoring as he re-entered the field.

Unfortunately, the finger will need surgery meaning that Joe could be out for up to a month - meaning he will miss several key games including the upcoming trip to Swansea City.

Hoepfully Joe will be back sooner but any surgical procedure requires some time on the sidelines. Paul Parry is likely to take his place meaning that youngsters Darcy Blake, Jon Brown and Aaron Morris will be the only cover.

would that be the long talked-about...... joe to Wigan for £3m plus Jason Koumas?!?!?
bluebirdshroom
clearly to same rumour doing the rounds. the same person who told me this also told me three weeks before chops' return that it was happening

well speaking to joe after the stoke dillema, he told me he wants to play in the premiership, but he said he was more than happy to stay with cardiff. the talks about him leaving in january are a bit on the wild side, talking to rambo, he was saying arsenal are keeping an eye on him, everton also, the talks about koumas, i dont think are true, simply because everyone knows our current finacial problem, we cannot afford his wage unless we sell
bluebird04
read about Arsenal.... Spurs also. i think Joe has the passion like yourself but you can see in his playing that he hasnt got over it. no disrespect to Stoke but when Joe goes it should be to a bigger club im sure all fans would want to see that. Rhian
