Cardiff Scrape Past Forest: Manager Reactions
Cardiff City manager Dave Jones was a relieved man after seeing his side stutter yet pick up maximum points against a Nottingham Forest side short of luck. Jones told BBC Sport:
'We had to grind out a result because of the circumstances Forest are in so we knew we'd have fight and scrap for everything - and we did that.'
'We didn't play as well as we'd like but you must give Forest credit due to the position they're in in the division.'
'However, if you're not playing as well you think should be but take maximum points, you'll take it.'
Notts Forest manager Colin Calderwood remains under pressure but could take positives from the defeat:
'It was real solid performance by us but we gave them an opportunity after an impetuous challenge.'
'I thoroughly enjoyed what we did today and if you can take a reward from it then it would almost be the perfect game.'
