Vote For Cardiff City 'Best' Midfield Duo

Cardiff City manager Dave Jones received some good news recently with the return of Riccy Scimeca to full fitness providing extra competition in midfield. With DJ ever reluctant to consider changes in formation - he will be faced with the tricky decision of who to select in the engine room.

A poll is now open on the Vital Cardiff Homepage (right side of screen) where you can vote as to which combination you think is the best we have.

Stephen McPhail and Rae have been the preferred pairing for some time now but we continue to get over-run at times in the midfield area. Joe Ledley is a popular candidate to play in the middle with Parry and Whitts as widemen - would this provide a stronger yet creative midfield?

Another choice is the inclusion of tenacious midfielder Darcy Blake - a highly rated youngster with good passing and tackling qualities. However, Dave Jones rarely uses the player and he has operated primarily as an emergency right-back in his handful of appearances.

Scimeca is excellent when 100% fit - but I cant see him being that again, too many injuries now and he's getting on too - a real shame tho
