Parry Praise For 'One-Off' Cardiff City Fans

Cardiff City star Paul Parry has spoken out after a turbulent couple of weeks and thanked the support he received from all areas - in particular the Cardiff fans.

Parry's shock retirement from Wales internationals caused controversy and mixed feelings. Dave Jones and John Toshack had a falling out while fans and pundits were quick to give their views on Parry.

However, any fears of a supporters backlash was quickly quelled when Parry received warm backing against Bristol City and Parry spoke to the SW Echo about the support:

"It was a tough few days but I`d like this opportunity to thank the gaffer, players and supporters for their wholehearted support during that difficult period."

"The support at the Bristol City game was just superb and it gave me a lift."

"The only way I can say thanks is to do my utmost for the club, because those fans are a one-off."

We've heard more than enough on the subject which now hopefully can be completely laid to rest. There are far more important things going on at the moment and Parry will face a fight to keep his place in the Bluebirds side - he will surely feature tonight against Swansea City...
