'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cardiff City Man Parry Backed By All Corners

Much talk last week centered on Paul Parry's dramatic Wales snub and the reception the winger would get in the derby against Bristol City.

However, none of the boos materialised - Parry received warm appluase when his name was called and loud chants after his first meaningful contribution - a shot over the bar after 7 minutes. Parry also gratefully (and rapidly!) responsed to requests to 'do the ayatollah' shortly into the second half.

Thankfully we were spared the ignomany of our fans booing one of their own and a recent poll on this Cardiff City website found readers to have mixed feelings with the majority not having icularly strong leanings either way though most did express an opinion of sorts.

Outraged. 26%
Disappointed. 33%
Ashamed. 3%
Indifferent. 2%
Understanding. 26%
Pleased for Cardiff City. 10%

Hopefully the matter can now be laid to rest and Paul will be allowed to forget the past and concentrate on his club football. It now seems he is in a direct fight with Peter Whittingham for the right wing berth as McCormack and Bothroyd continue in attack.

i respect his decision and u were right there was no booing at all. Why boo your own player anyway? We should learn to respect his decision which as we 1st thought had more behind it than what the press said may pauls cardiff career prosper from now on!
