'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cardiff City 0-0 Bristol City-Severnside Stalemate

Cardiff City and Bristol City fought out a 0-0 draw in a tightly contested game far more entertaining than the scoreline suggested.

Both sides had chances, and played neat football at times. However, Cardiff City were guilty of a lack of quality in the final third and squandered too many chances - several blocked, others saved - the best chance falling to Whittingham whose first time effort (after a Rae knockdown) was somehow caught by Basso.

Bristol City did well too, having plenty of long range efforts. They came closest in the 1st half when a curling Williams shot hit the crossbar.

It was a fair result in the end, and both sides appeared satisfied with a point. Full report to follow...
