Cardiff City Tell Robbie Fowler Where To Go

Around a month ago, Cardiff City were being gently re-assured by ex-Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler and his agent that the contract offer was acceptable and signing was imminent. As we all know that never happened, Fowler flew off leaving the club short of strikers and time to find more.

Many saw that as a blessing in disguise with age, injuries and complete lack of pace and matchtime weighing heavily against the once potent striker. It was some suprise that he received an offer from the Premiership, until you realise that it was Paul Ince of Blackburn Rovers who offered his old mate a chance to prove fitness.

That didn't work out, with the deal offered apparently unacceptable to the player - Rovers obviously seeing what Cardiff fans saw last season - either that or Fowler wasn't quite looking so 'sharp' in training!

It emerged this week that Fowler's agent enquired as to whether Cardiff City would still be interested - and, unsuprisingly, CCFC told him in no uncertain terms to, ahem, look elsewhere.

Thank 'God' for that...!

What a relief - now Mr.Greedy can sod off to the Gulf and make more money - pity we can't make him pay back some of the huge amount we had to spend on his 1st class air fares to the US for his 1st class medical treatment getting him fit again ..
