Cardiff City's Scottish Duo Withdraw From Squad

Cardiff City's Scottish Duo Withdraw From Squad

Cardiff City defender Kevin McNaughton has joined compatriot and club-mate Gavin Rae by pulling out of the Scotland squad duo to face Northern Ireland in midweek.

Rae chipped a bone in his leg last week while McNaughton struggled against Doncaster Rovers, was replaced by Miguel Comminges and will be assessed by the Bluebirds medical team.

It's a blow to both players who have impressed and Cardiff City and both recently won call-ups after long absences from International duty.

Comminges and Riccy Scimeca are respective cover for the injured duo underlining the increased strength in depth we have but fans have to feel for Kev and Gavin. Hopefully both can be back to full fitness soon and help us continue the unbeaten start to the season.
