Cardiff City will not be offering a permanent deal to Wilson Oruma, the Nigerian International recently on trial at Ninian Park.
The midfielder had impressed Dave Jones and scored a superb goal in the 2-2 friendly draw against Chasetown but was severely lacking in match fitness.
City wanted Oruma to continue building his match sharpness before making a decision but another club wanted to talk to him and the incentive was too great and he will not become a Cardiff City player.
Cardiff City may look elsewhere for a midfielder after the departure of Aaron Ramsey to Arsenal. However, there have been no other departures in that area and while Ramsey played a number of games he was not a regular and we have Darcy Blake and Riccy Scimeca returned to the squad. Paul Parry will also be free to take up a wide position after the captures of McCormack and Bothroyd. A move for Dutch midfielder Remco van der Schaaf earlier fell through as he joined Burnley.
