Jay Bothroyd In Cardiff City Talks - Now!

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jay Bothroyd is at this very minute (lunchtime on Sunday) in advanced talks with the Bluebirds and looks likely to undergo a medical tomorrow with a view to signing a contract.

The former Coventry City, Perugia, Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City and Charlton Athletic striker woould cost around 300k and is a decent player with a difficult and unusual career to date.

Bothroyd also has an offer from Leeds United, but would prefer to remain in the Championship while he will also consider his young family before deciding.

At present, we have only Steve Thompson and Ross McCormack as out-and-out strikers although Paul Parry looks likely to operate in attack again this campaign after impressing last year.

I'd be happy with this signing

I'd have thought he'd cost more than that - seems like a good deal
