Cardiff City have appointed a new 'non-executive director' at today's annual meeting as Keith Harris was unveiled as our latest recruit.
The name will be familiar to City fans, and he was involved with the club recently as he helped broker the takeover deal which saw Sam Hammam ousted and Peter Ridsdale take over the reigns - a move that was crucial to our future.
Since that time, finances have stabilised dramatically and we stand a far better chance of attracting investment. After the improvement off the field (finances, facilities and new stadium), coupled with some exciting talent on it - we could be an enticing prospect and this is likely to be the role of Mr Harris.
Risdale told the Echo: "I am absolutely delighted that somebody of Keith Harris` stature has agreed to join the board."
All well and dandy, but I really would prefer to hear news of new strikers - especially as this was our priority months ago and since then Hasselbaink, Feeney and Fowler have all left the club!
