Cardiff City Interest In James Scowcroft

Cardiff City are reportedly considering a bid for Crystal Palace striker James Scowcroft.

The former Ipswich Town and Leicester City player made 38 appearances for the Eagles last term, scoring 9 goals.

Cardiff City are known to be keen to add 2 new strikers to the current squad. FC Dallas' Kenny Cooper is a prime target as the 'big number 9' while Scowcroft could also do a job as support to Ross McCormack.

Palace would want a fee for the 32 year old, possibly in the region of 400k. There is some money available to Dave Jones, but he may choose to use the majority on his 1st target rather than paying for a 32 year old. There are a number of players currently under consideration and Scowcroft is just one of these.
