Feeney Next to Swap Cardiff City for Dundee United

Cardiff City look to have established themselves as feeder club to SPL outfit Dundee United after a second season-long loan was agreed between the clubs which will now see Warren Feeney make the switch to Tannadice.

Feeney will join Irishman Willo Flood, who sepnt last season with the Tangerines, at Dundee United and will bid to get his career back on track.

Former Cardiff City goalkeeper David Forde agreed a loan move to Dundee United last season only for the move to be bizarrely blocked as Forde has played in Wales and England already in the season.

Neither Flood nor Feeney has made much of an impact at Cardiff City but both were on long term contracts and will benefit from the competitive gametime either to return to Cardiff or attract interest from other clubs.

With Feeney off the wage bill, Cardiff City will continue to search for a 'target man' striker and will have more leverage to use as wages.
