Cardiff City Handed Ledley Boost

Cardiff City have been given a boost after Joe Ledley yet again re-iterated he was happy to stay with the Bluebirds after yet more speculation linking him to other clubs.

One thing seems certain, he won't be moving to other Championship clubs - Wolves can confirm that and whilst the Welsh International remains intent on playing in the Premiership - he hopes to do that with Cardiff.

Ledley told the SW Echo:

"I like to see City really push on this season and go for it."

"With regards to all the speculation about a move away from the club, it really doesn`t bother me."

"If it happens it happens, if it doesn`t, it doesn`t."

"As it stands, I`m playing for a team that I supported as a boy and that`s the biggest drive anybody could ask for."

There's little doubt Ledley is a talented individual and it seems highly likelt that Aaron Ramsey was sacrificed so that we could afford to keep Ledley at the club. It is refreshing that in the day where contracts appear to matter very little, there's no hint of Ledley stomping his feet demanding transfers or handing in requests.

Ledley ended the season as joint top scorer after netting 10 league goals.
