McCormack To Soar With Cardiff City

Cardiff City's exciting new recruit Ross McCormack is set to make a big impression next season with the pacy striker ready to provide the goals and flair to fire City into the Premiership.

McCormack has turned down interest from the Premiership, and opted for Cardiff City over Championship rivals Nottingham Forest. Although young, McCormack has shown real potential and is backing himself to improve and impress at this level.

He told the Western Mail:

"If I`d made a move to the Premier League and hadn`t played regularly, then I knew I would never be capped by Scotland. I`ve done that now and I want to kick on at Cardiff."

"I don`t want to sound big-headed about it, but I have belief in my ability. I believe I can help Cardiff progress and play for them at Premiership level."

"There are guys who thought I wasn`t good enough for Rangers. I`ve taken a step towards proving them wrong - and Cardiff are giving me the opportunity to make the next step."

McCormack joins from SPL Motherwell for a £100k compensation package leaving the majority of the transfer kitty remaining to bring in another frontline striker.
