New Contracts For Key Cardiff City Foursome

Cardiff City have revealed they are close to agreement with four players who each have just 1 year remaining on their current deals.


Following the cup run, it was feared that players would be seeking bumper new deals especially with the club previously offering huge terms to some players (Fowler, Hasslebaink, Sinclair). That fear does not seem real and the players seem ready to commit their future to the club.


Whittingham's contract has been agreed verbally, while key defender Roger Johnson is also expected to renew. Paul Parry and Glenn Loovens will also be offered new contracts as City strive to keep the majority of the squad together.


Steve Thompson, Warren Feeney and Willo Flood are all expected to have showdown talks with the club regarding their roles and future at the club. Flood and Feeney have time remaining but would likely be allowed to leave for a fee, while Thompson has been transfer listed for the entire season.
