Cardiff City Fans Support Rambo In Arsenal Choice

The sale of Aaron Ramsey by Cardiff City always looked likely and the teenager attracted huge interest from the Premiership. City accepted bids from Manchester United, Arsenal and Everton and the choice was left to Ramsey.

In the end, he opted to join the Gunners, suprising many with Man Utd the favourites for his signature. A recent poll on theis Vital Cardiff City website asked readers opinions on Ramsey's decision:

Has Rambo made the right choice? (Arsenal)

Yes. 53%
No - Man Utd. 32%
No - Everton. 4%
No - Stay at Cardiff. 5%
Time will tell. 4%
We shouln't have sold him! 2%

Relatively few sat on the fence with this one and the majority believed The Emirates and Arsene Wenger's youth policy was the right choice for Rambo.

Manchester United was the only other option to get backing from readers but the overwhelming message was vindication of Ramsey despite the fact he would have remained with Cardiff City for a year had he chosen the Reds.

The money from the £5m sale is burning a hole in Ridsdale's pocket - an unusual position for Cardiff City with the majority set to be spent on a proven striker.

Can I ask just how good this lad is? (same age as me...:D)
Goofle
very very good is the answer. It's too early to say but he could be a Gerrard/fabregas without any problem

Thanks guys. We also think the boy made a very good choice! ;) Not only does he look very composed beyond his years on the pitch, but as far as I've read about him off it, he's conducted himself very maturely. Can't wait to see him in the new No. 16 red & white shirt. And it'd be great if you guys spend the money on a proven striker. Good luck next season!

I'm reeeeeaaaallllly looking forward to seeing him play. I bet there will be a few Cardiff fans with an eye on Arsenal's Carling cup games this season ...... or do you think he'll be able to jump right into the first team?
Rocky7
He is obviously seen as a 'one-for-the-future', but I have absolutely no doubt that he is capable of steping up to that level and being a success. Maybe it would be in his interests to spend a season on loan at one of the newly promoted sides i.e. Stoke, WBA, and Hull. This will give him regular first team football in the premier league... which is just what he needs right now.
