Cardiff City: All Quiet On The Ledley Front

Cardiff City have been heavily involved in transfer speculation of late and the sale of Aaron Ramsey, eventually to Arsenal, made every newspaper, website, forum daily until its conclusion.

In addition, we've knocked back bids for several key players and are making good progress on attracting new players to the club with strikers the priority.

With all this going on, it has been a pleasant suprise to hear nothing on the future of Joe Ledley. Even before the transfer window opened, Jones and Ridsdale spoke openly about Ramsey and even tried to drum up extra interest. With Ledley, we've heard little and that suits me just fine.

It seems that the Chairman knew we had to sell one, and decided that Ramsey was going anyway and has made keeping Ledley the priority.

Everton and Fulham have been the strongest linked with the Welsh international but we're certainly not inviting bids and a previous move by Wolverhampton Wanderers was rebuffed.

Ledley improved again this season, adding a more attacking dimension to his game whilst he popped up with regular goals. If we can keep him going into the next season we'll have done well - if a big bid comes in then we have to listen but the good news for now is that even very little speculation is going around - that can only be good news.
