Fergie Fury But Cardiff & Man Utd 'Bond' Remains?

Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson is understood to be less than happy after missing out on the signature of Welsh rising star Aaron Ramsey - who opted to join Arsenal ahead of the Red Devils.

Cardiff City accepted an initial bid from Man Utd, later matched by others, and bosses strongly pushed Ramsey towards Manchester United, a team with whom we are developing close links and a 'special bond' (see here ).

Tom Heaton has already signed up to a long term loan, and Dave Jones was keen to cultivate the link with a view to even more players coming to Cardiff City.

Aaron Ramsey's alledged 'snub' of United may have damaged the relationship but Peter Ridsdale kept United informed at all times and told the Western Mail:

'I spoke to David Gill, Manchester United`s chief executive, yesterday and they are disappointed, but there is no problem with Cardiff City whatsoever.'

'We had a detailed chat and there is no bad vibe, none whatsoever. I kept Manchester United informed at every moment.'

Of course, the move had to be right for Ramsey and not just Cardiff City and seems to have been handled fairly. We now turn to seeing how much of and on whom the £5m will be spent.

I think he had a beter chance of games at Man United who seem to bring british talent trough quicker than Arsenal.
