Liverpool Bid For Cardiff City Star - Rejected!

Liverpool Bid For Cardiff City Star - Rejected!

The first of theis summer's much anticapted bids for hot property Aaron Ramsey is in, Liverpool made it but Cardiff City have rejected the offer.

Aaron Ramsey is in demand from all of the 'big four' Premiership clubs with Manchester United showing very strong interest.

Liverpool decided to jump in with the first firm offer, tabling a cheeky £3m bid for a player expected to fetch around double that value.

This is good news, whether we lose Ramsey or not, at least we won't be forced to take the first offer that comes in and will hold out either for a fair price or hang onto the player.

Start talking at £10m or don't talk at all - at least another year [and perhaps the promotion year] from Aaron will serve him and us best.

We have money from gunter, money from maclean,Our langstons court fees back to us,Which ridsdale told us was the main drain of resources, and also money from an f.a cup run,and again we have sold more season tickets than we have ever sold before..So peter ridsdale,do not give us any spin about having to sell ledley or ramsey, because we can afford to hold on to them for another season, ans get even more money for these young players....and it is not like we have a clutch of gunters and ramseys waiting to get into the first team to sell in future seasons..... It will be interesting to see the rhetoric comeing from jones and ridsdale in the comeing weeks,or should i say confuseing as it seems to change daily...We have got this far this year with an amazeingly threadbare squad, Another interesting but unrelated point is that Cardiff city will be fielding at least 8 british players in the final....When was the last time a team fielded that amount of british players in an f.a cup final..Anybody have any stats on that....My feeling it is at least 25 yrs

i agree on some sort of terms with andy about the funds, but no-one really knows how much gunter was bought for, and if it was cash up front. so we cant jump to conclusions with that, and if the reports of fowler and hasslebaink are on £25,000 each a week, then that means they are on £200,000 a month, so the £500,000 from maclean, and the £500,000 back then thats only about 6 months of their wages paid for. i dont think there is a fuss about being able to afford to keep them. we have had no money worries about their wages soo far, so why must we have any more concearn over money, but the good news is, a speak of big £££ investors come into the club, if they do buy shares, then lets hope they only buy 49% of shares, because if they buy anythin more than 50% then they have the say in the club meaning they will want to bring their own staff in
