Cardiff Fans Split On Ramsey Staying

Cardiff City have a gem of a player in 17 year old Aaron Ramsey. Comfortbale, assured and skilful in possession - he has been a huge asset for the Bluebirds in every appearance so far.

Despite his young age and inexperience, his talent is such that all the Premiership clubs are sniffing round and City must be braced for plenty of enquiries over the summer.

With Cardiff City still under the cloud of the Langston court case, the finances are not yet secure. Although summary judgement was declined, a full court case may yet take place and could rule in Langston's favour.

A wonderkid, strong Premiership interest and financial uncertainty does not bode well for clubs like Cardiff City. Nevertheless, Dave Jones and especially the fans would dearly love to keep hold of Ramsey and involve him more regularly next season.

A recent poll on this Vital Cardiff City website asked readers whether they thought Ramsey would remain a Cardiff City player next season.

Yes (61%)
No (39%)

Predictably, there were split opinions. Many have faith in the club to keep hold of its top stars, presumably hoping that Ridsdale will acknowledge Ramsey's huge potential and recognise his stock will only rise.

Many though are resigned to seeing Ramsey leave, the only hope being that a bidding war between the Premiership giants ensues and we get a fair price, in the range of Theo Walcott's and Gareth Bale's price tags, for a player who has the ability and potential to eclipse both.
