'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Premiership Or Local Derby Awaits

With Cardiff City performing a near miracle in reaching the FA Cup final, some of the emphasis has been removed from the impressive season of our neighbours Swansea City who have been nothing short of rampant in league one and this week secured Championship football for the Swans courtest of a 2-1 win over Gillingham.

The Swans had wobbled slightly but promotion rarely looked in doubt even from early season and there will be at least one Welsh side in the Championship next season.

Cardiff City retain a small hope of making the play-offs this season - a big ask but possible nonetheless. The players refuse to give up and a win over Scunthorpe United would give Cardiff a decent chance.

That means that Premiership football is still a possibility for next season, but more likely is that the Bluebirds will have derby matches to look forward to against our old friends from down West.

Congratulations to Swansea City, there will undoubtedly be a warm welcome at Ninian Park for either the Jacks or Manchester United next season!

With your game in hand, play offs is still possible and with all your Wembley experience, it'l put you in good stead. Am looking forward however to Swansea v Cardiff at a level it should be played at. Just hope that both your supporters and our supporters can behave on the days.
