Cardiff City have netted four goals this week in collecting a draw at Ipswich Town and a home win over Blackpool FC.
Heavily involved in the build up to all 4 goals was teenager Aaron Ramsey, hotly tipped by any who have watched him and a player who is fast making himself a vital part of the Cardiff City side.
Gavin Rae, Ipswich 0-1 Cardiff
The pick of the bunch, Ramsey twisted and turned the defender before angling a superb cross in front of numerous defenders with the outside of his boot. Rae simply couldn't miss and Ramsey had no right to get it to him.
Stephen McPhail, Cardiff 1-0 Blackpool
This was more about the strike than the build up - a screamer from McPhail. However, it was Ramsey's cool lay-off to Whittingham that was part-blocked in the direction of McPhail's left boot.
Trevor Sinclair, Cardiff 2-0 Blackpool
Not so pretty this one. Capaldi overlapped and centred to Ramsey - he failed to make clean contact with his shot but diverted the ball to Sinclair who fired home.
Peter Whittingham, Cardiff 3-0 Blackpool
Ramsey picks up possession on the right and immediately cuts inside - driving at 'Pool's defence. The defenders back off and tighten allowing Whittingham to collect Ramsey's pass and fire low for City's third.
Although some of Ramsey's contributions were not classic assists, it does show how heavily involved he can be and often when Cardiff are creating their best chances. He always wants the ball, works tirelessly and possesses great vision to go with his undoubted talent and skill.
Wembley will be a fine arena to showcase his talents once more, we can only hope it won;t be the last time in a Cardiff City shirt.....
