Jones Could Be In Hot Water

Jones Could Be In Hot Water

Dave Jones could find himself being slapped with a ban after making comments about the referee in the game against Luton Town last week.

Jones had a go at referee Andy Woolmer after the official turned down appeals for what looked to be a stonewall penalty after the Bluebirds had clawed their way back to 3-3 after being 3-1 down.

Jones was not happy and said he would write to the Football Association requesting that Woolmer was not placed in charge of anymore Cardiff games after accusing him of bottling the decision.

Now the FAW has stepped in and will be looking at the case to see if Jones may have to face charges of bringing the game into disrepute.

'We are looking into it and are just waiting for information on the full content of his comments,' said the FAW's Paul Evans.

'As soon as we have the full picture we will determine what action to take. We will not do anything until we are in possession of the full facts.'
