Cardiff City face a selection crisis with numerous first teamers expected to miss out when Southampton visit.
Darcy Blake and Tony Capaldi were the full-backs as we beat Bristol City. However, the duo have picked up groin and back injuries respectively. Capaldi is struggling while Blake is definately out.
Blake had been covering after Kevin McNaughton picked up a groin injury. He is back in training but is not expected to feature. That leaves the Bluebirds with the grand total of NONE in terms of full-backs.
I expect either Capaldi or Joe Ledley (groin), both of whom face late fitness tests, to play at left-back with Trevor Sinclair covering on the right.
Steve Thompson will continue in attack alongside Paul Parry as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink sits out the second of his 3 match ban.
Influential centre-back Andrew Davies is ruled out for Saints with a cheekbone fracture. Ian Pearce returned to Fulham while Claus Lundekvam also retired this week so yesterday's loan signing Chris Perry is added to the squad.
Midfield playmaker Inigo Idaakez is closing in on a return following a hamstring pull but will probably not make this game.
Kelvin Davis was named on the bench after recovering from a dislocated finger although Richard Wright is expected to continue in goal.
