Cardiff City`s Peter Whittingham continued his fine form by posting the highest individual match score of the week for a midfielder in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship.

The 23-year-old notched a season-high 43 points - the second highest individual match score at the club, second only to Joe Ledley`s 53 points against QPR on January 29th.

The ex-Aston Villa player also made 14 passes, produced one dribble and delivered six crosses. His tally lifted him 39 places to 147th in the Index with 289 points.

Cardiff have four players in the top 100 with Paul Parry in second with 558 points, Joe Ledley (425), Roger Johnson (421) and Stephen McPhail (360) sitting 39th, 44th and 91st respectively.

Analysis of all Championship games is taking place throughout the season and so far the top five Cardiff players are:

Player,Ranking, Position Ranking, Index Score

Paul Parry, 2nd, 2nd Ranked Midfielder, 558

Joe Ledley, 39th, 11th Ranked Midfielder, 425

Roger Johnson, 44th, 11th Ranked Defender, 421

Stephen McPhail, 91st, 25th Ranked, Midfielder, 360

Tony Capaldi, 126th, 32nd Ranked Midfielder, 312

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
