Cardiff Target Has Solid Welsh Debut
Cardiff City target Ashley Williams made a solid start to his Welsh International career after helping Wales to a 2-0 win over a lacklustre Luxembourg last night.
Williams and 'keeper Lewis Price were involved in an early mix-up but the Stockport County defender recovered to clear after his back-pass fell short. Wales survived the rest of the game with few problems.
Williams is a transfer target for both Cardiff City and Swansea City with both clubs attempting to take the Welshman on loan, possibly as early as today.
Freddie Eastwood was the hero for Wales after scoring two impressive goals, but in truth it was a poor quality match.
Joe Ledley was forced to pull out of the squad with a groin injury. Earlir in the day, Cardiff City teenagers Aaron Ramsey and Jon Brown helped the Welsh U21s to a fantastic 2-1 win against Bosnia.
