'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Saints Fan's View On Cardiff Clash

Vital Cardiff City this week spoke to Southampton fan 'Bondy' ahead of the weekend's game between the Bluebirds and DSouthampton FC:

Relegation Battle - did you see that coming?

NO! We all had aspirations of a play-off place, then mid-table, now survival. Always thought it was a matter of time before it clicked but just haven't seemed to improve.

What's been the problem?

Injuries haven't helped but consistency and downright frustration have been our curse. On our day we're good to beat anyone but then get absolutely thrashed the next week. Quite demoralising but the fight just isn't there some days.

Thoughts on Wright-Phillips and Dyer's brush with the law?

Pair of numpties, Dyer's been out for months and Wright-Phillips has been poor. Almost defies belief that they could be so stupid.

If you could have one Cardiff player on a free - who and why?

I actually know a little about Cardiff after watching them a few times and its always the big man at the back who looks the key to me. (Having just looked up his name) Glenn Loovens looks a strong centre-hald and a tidy player.

Prediction for the game?

We're not in bad form and God knows we need the points. 2-1 win for the Saints.
