Steele Will Face Cardiff At Wembley

Barnsley have sorted out the perilous goalkeeping situation ahead of the massive FA Cup semi-final against Cardiff City.

Whilst we have been carefully preparing and looking forward to the game, The Tykes have been desperately searching to rectify their position after Luke Steele's loan period ended and Barnsley and West Brom could not agree on a new deal.

Steele was undoubtedly the hero as Barnsley saw off Liverpool while he kept a clean sheet against Chelsea in the next round. However, WBA were paying most of his wages and Barnsley were reluctant to agree a new loan - also thought to include an option to buy Steele at the end of the season.

Fortunately for Barnsley, the situation is now sorted and Steele will be available. The added turmoil will not have helped their preparations but at least now we can look forward to an exciting game between two different but effective Championship sides.
