Ticket Frenzy For Last Ninian Season

Cardiff City FC ticket office is busy throughout the day helping fans to renew their season tickets, or buy new ones for next season - in what will be an emotional final season at Ninian Park.

The new stadium in ongoing and should be ready for the start of the 2009-10 season, while the Ninian Park area will be developed into flats.

The current demand is in no small part due to the availability of FA Cup semi-final tickets on priority to season ticket holders. Those who sign up now for next season are eligible to a ticket as soon as the office opens on Sunday.

Upwards of 500 renewals / applications are being processed DAILY meaning an unexpected but hugely welcome tickets windfall for the club.

We must hope that these people signing up will remain true to the club, regardless of the semi-final result, and continue to support the club next season. Those who don't are merely pumping a huge amount of money into the club to get to one (albeit significant) game. That's fine, but not at the expense of more loyal fans who may not now get tickets.

Cardiff City looks to have a bright future the second the court case can be concluded. From there we can really push on, and become the 'big club' we could be.The interest is there, we must take advantage...

Would be great to have a full and rocking Ninian Park every game next season - problem is: how many of these 'new' s/t holders will turn up each week.....?

it's one ground I've not been to - shame that another classic ground is to bite the dust though!
