D-Day: Cardiff City vs Langston

Today, Cardiff City will find out whether mysterious company Langston has succeeded in its attempt to secure a summary judgement against the club for breach of contract - and thus put CCFC into administration.

An initial court hearing was held last weekend, but judgement was withheld until today for the official to consider his decision. Mr Justice Briggs will today (this afternoon) give his verdict which is likely to keep Cardiff City fans and managerment alike sweating.

It seems highly likely that summary judgement will NOT be given, and the matter will proceed to full trial at a much later date. However, this is by no means certain and would be only a minor victory for Cardiff City.

Although our financial position would be clarified somewhat, it is unlikely that any funds would be released for loan signings - although a striker would be high on Dave Jones' list of priorities.
