Cardiff Confident For Court Case

Cardiff City Chairman Peter Ridsdale has not erred from the party line this week and maintains that the court case due for intitial hearing this week - will be found in Cardiff's favour.

In basic terms, this weeks proceedings are purely to determine whether a case is heard. With Ridsdale adamant, and the fact that the case has reached this stage should mean that we have a defence!

If Cardiff are found not to have defence, £30m of debt becomes immediately payable - a situation the club cannot tolerate. Langston could defer the date but they would be able to call it at any point - in that scenario, administration looks the likely outcome - a disaster for all involved.

However, it should not come to that, Ridsdale re-iterated to the South Wales Echo:

"We believe and always have believed we will win the High Court case,"

"However, if the case did go against us then the directors would be legally bound to put the football club into administration. That`s not something we want to do, but we would have no choice.'

We await news on the outcome, however the news may not be made public immediately.
