Ledley To Return For Cardiff City

Cardiff City's ailing on-field fortunes could be given a boost tonight with the welcome return of midfielder Joe Ledley from injury.

Ledley suffered a minor tear to his hamstring during the 0-0 draw against Coventry City, however, this is exactly the kind of injury that can recur if not fully healed andCity must guard against further aggrevation which would see Ledley out for another month.

Ledley's enthusiasm and creativity would be a much needed plus after woeful form recently for the Bluebirds. Aaron Ramsey has covered well and I would switch him inside at Stephen McPhail's expense (the Irishman has an ankle knock and is not in good form). That would return Ramsey to his preferred inside role, but allow Ledley and Ramsey to swap and create different problems for the opposition right-back.

Nevertheless, the overwhelming message behind Dave Jones' management is that if McPhail is fit, he will play. Good to have Ledley back at least.
