Cardiff City Star Up For FA Award

For the third round in succession, Cardiff City have had a player nominated for the 'player of the round' award in the FA Cup. The third round match against Chasetown saw teenager Aaron Ramsey nominated, while Paul Parry was a candidate after we beat Hereford United.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has now been nominated for his excellent display in the 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers that saw Cardiff progress to the quarter finals stage. JFH set-up an early goal for Peter Whittingham before scoring a cracker of his own to seal the tie.

Hasselbaink is in good company with Machester United star Wayne Rooney also in the frame alongside two goalkeepers in Barnsley's Luke Steele and Portsmouth's David James.

No Cardiff City has yet won the award, hopefully Jimmy will have more luck and get selected. Wonder which Bluebird will be nominated after the quarter finals.....
