Cardiff Fans Optimistic For Wolves

Cardiff city fans seem cautiously optimistic ahead of today's FA Cup 5th round clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

A poll on this Vital Cardiff City website invited readers opinions on the result of this all Championship clash, desribed by Wolves boss Mick McCarthy as an 'un-sexy tie'.

The poll, suggested by VitalCardiff member tonyol, came out highly suggestive of a narrow Cardiff win:

Cup Result Against Wolves ?

Win +2 goals 11%
Win +1 goal 61%
Lose +1 goal 6%
Lose +2 goal 7%
Win after replay 6%
Lose after replay 9%

Home advantage could prove decisive for the Bluebirds with both clubs hovering below the Championship play-off places and suffering somewhat from a lack of consistency.

A cup run would be a welcome boost for Cardiff City. Although we have a squad squad and must avoid over-burdening the players, a cup run is always good for the fans and for providing a cash boost.
