Joe Ledley Wins Inaugural Actim Index Award

- Cardiff midfielder best player in January-

Cardiff City`s Joe Ledley is the first ever recipient of the Actim Index Player of the Month award, the Official Player Ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship, as featured on ITV`s 'The Championship`.

The Welsh International was statistically the best player in January with 114 points overall, finishing just two points above fellow Welsh International and Cardiff teammate Paul Parry. The midfielder scored four goals from just 8 shots, and made 43 passes and 7 crosses as he helped his club go unbeaten for the entire month.

Ledley was delighted to receive this award. He said "I am over the moon to receive this award, the Actim Index considers a lot of different factors and as a player it is always a great honour to have your performances acknowledged."

The 21-year-old has received a number of other footballing accolades; he was awarded the Championship's Powerade Player of the Month for January and was also presented with the 2007 Football League Award Mitre Goal of the Year award.
